Tides of March

For Duke

You are getting this gallery because if you have crossed my path, you most likely crossed Duke’s path too. I had the luck to cross Duke’s path some 19 years ago and he has been imbedded in my soul for those 19 years. He is my lifetime dog. I have had others and will have dogs all my life, but Duke and I knew I would not have the same bond with another dog, and he would not have the same bond with another human.

A closer look

With everything that has happened toward the end of the year, I thought it was pretty small to think about a year in review gallery of images. But here I am thinking about it. Mainly because the photos I’ve decided to share speak volumes to me about who we are. Hope. Laughter. Joy. Curiosity. Amazement. Love. Gratitude. Faith. Trust. I think there are equal measures of that in all of our hearts. The badness has to eat through all of that to get to the surface.

365 iproject

With the turn of instagram, hashtags, iphone cameras that can shoot panoramics, I thought I'd give an old New Year's resolution project a new twist. About 7 years ago, I did the old "photo a day" project and then turned it into a calendar at the end of the year. It turned out pretty cool.. but of course I had an array of professional gear I used to create fine art, personal art and just everyday photos. It sometimes forced me to turn the camera on my life.
